Herbal Hair Oil Mix – 18 Ayurvedic Herbs
Make your own herbal hair oil at home. This dried herb mix contains 18 herbs used in traditional hair oiling. Steep it in your favourite carrier oil to create a fresh, fragrant infusion for scalp massage.
The 18 herbs
Rosemary, lavender, chamomile, fenugreek, rose, thyme, marigold, amla, horsetail, burdock, moringa, ginger, comfrey, ginkgo, hibiscus, nettle, peppermint and neem.
How to make your hair oil
- Put the herb mix in a large glass jar.
- Fill with a carrier oil such as coconut, olive, castor or fenugreek seed oil. Add a few drops of essential oil if you like (peppermint, lavender or tea tree).
- Close and leave in a cool place for 1–3 weeks, then strain.
- Massage into the scalp and hair before washing.
